Based on a collaborative agreement between the Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences of Yokohama National University, Toyo Seikan Group Holdings (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo), and the Forest Culture Association of Japan (Chuo-ku, Tokyo) aimed at the conservation and maintenance of “Tokiwa Foreset” on the Tokiwadai Campus of Yokohama National University, eight representatives from Toyo Seikan Group Holdings visited “Tokiwa Forest” under the guidance of Professor Kaoruko Kurata and Professor Hiroyuki Matsuda to learn about the current conditions and ecosystem of the forest on May 14, 2026. Mr. Tetsuya Sekioka, Managing Director of the Forest Culture Association, and Mr. Hokuto Matsumura, Assistant Secretary General and Editor-in-Chief of the same association, as well as students from Prof. Kurata’s Laboratory at YNU, also participated in the visit.
