PBL training for EBRoSS short-term international students (Nov 8-13, 2024; Naruto, Sammu City, Chiba) Two undergraduate students from Prince of Songkla University, Thailand and two students from YNU attended it. Prof. Hiroyuki Matsuda gave a lecture on “Biosphere Reserves, World Heritage Sites, and Geoparks.”On June 24, 2026, during the undergraduate lecture “The MAB Programme and the SDGs“ taught by Prof. Hiroyuki Matsuda at Yokohama National University, Mr. Takuomi Akiyama, a graduate of the university’s College of Urban Sciences and currently a first-year master’s student in the Department of Environment and Natural Sciences, Graduate School of Environment and Information Sciences, gave a lecture. He introduced his own research and practical activities, as well as the initiatives of the Youth Committee of the Japan MAB Programme Support Committee, which was established in April 2026. Mr. Akiyama serves as the Vice Chair of the Youth Committee.
