SDGs Activities and the UNESCO Chair

Concerning the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the UNESCO chair will establish a comprehensive education and research system covering from introductory to advanced research. We focus on the ESD and international training course (Goal 4) on environmental risk management (6,13,14,15), information science (9), energy/urban design (7,11) and social science (1,5,8), etc. based on regional cooperation (17) with the partners. The UNESCO Chair will provide lectures that students are able to learn comprehensive understanding of SDGs and case studies on the combined efforts of various SDGs in the “Minor Education Programme for MAB/SDGs”. The following lectures, for example, are based on research and practices by teachers.

“Introduction on ESD” for Goal 4 (Quality Education).
“MAB and SDGs” for Goal 15 (Life on Land), 14 (Life below water), 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
“Integrated Ocean Management” for SDG 14. The UNESCO Chair will develop this lecture in collaboration with Port-City Universities League.
