This partnership agreement follows Yokohama National University being selected last year for the UNESCO Chair on Education in Biosphere Reserves for Sustainable Societies. Each Biosphere Reserve actively provides a place for the research by YNU students and staff related to Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and the activities by UNESCO Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet) of the affiliated Kamakura Junior High School and Kamakura Elementary School. Thereby, our aim is to further contribute to promoting ESD practice and research, and ultimately promoting the realization of sustainable society.
